The highest of compliments I could give to our amazing guide, Bill Schulz, are these:
(1) We’ve lived in NYC for pretty much our whole adult lives, and both my wife and i agree this “The Odd & Awesome Secrets Behind East Midtown” was the single best walking tour we’ve ever been on.
(2) We’ve lived in the Turtle Bay/East Midtown area for 25 years, and we learned so much new cool stuff about our neighborhood we almost felt we were in a place we’d never been to before!

Fun interesting Manhattan Turtle Bay Tour with Bill Schulz

Informative, interesting and fun, A tour around Turtle Bay, an eclectic mix of history, celebrity and quirkiness with some wonderful hidden gems. The walking tour was about a mile, paced well with an extremely knowledgeable historian who lives in the neighbourhood.

I would highly recommend this tour.

It was a great tour, Bill, our guide, did a good job in showing us around and telling stories about the people who lived in the houses that we visited.

Our Tour was title Turtle Bay: 400 years of East Midtown Oddness.

I lived in this neighborhood near the UN for several years, but guide Bill Schulz lead a fascinating tour that covered movies, the mafia, financial scams, iconic American authors, and a secret garden open to the public. The one mile tour zipped by.

Bill’s tour of Turtle Bay is highly recommended. He’s full of knowledge, charm, not to mention energy, and has great stories about some of Turtle Bay’s more famous residents, particularly stars of the past.

Even though, it’s my neighborhood, I learned a lot from Bill.

One of the best tours I’ve ever taken! Bill was so knowledgeable, and the tour group size was just right. We loved every minute of our two hours exploring this part of Manhattan.

I would encourage any family interested in the history of New York to take this tour. Our tour guide, Bill Shulz, was informative and quite animated and told wonderful anecdotes. Despite the snow we found this and affordable way to spend two great hours walking the streets with a local.
